WHAT IS MARSHFIELD COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS?

Marshfield Community Christmas was founded in 1979 as an effort to help needy and lonely members of our community by giving them new toys, small gifts and food certificates in the hopes of making Christmas a little more joyful.  Last year Marshfield Community Christmas helped 302 families and
701 children in Marshfield share in the magic of the
Christmas season.
Marshfield Community Christmas is a 501C3 which means all contributions are tax deductible.  Marshfield Community Christmas is also a registered public charity and a non-profit corporation.  All monies raised go directly to the organization – there are no salaries or stipends paid.  We are 100% a volunteer operation.
Monies raised come from direct donations and fund raising activities.  Our annual telethon will take place November 27, 2009 this year at the Daniel Webster School.  Our headquarters at the Fairgrounds will open November 1st.  Please stop in, see our operation, become a volunteer, or make a donation.  Deliveries are scheduled for December 19th, 2009 so please make your donations early.

Marshfield Community Christmas is a 100% volunteer-driven non-profit organization that is registered with the Attorney General of Massachusetts.

Community Christmas Meets goals

To the Editor: With your help and the help of many other deeply caring people like yourselves, 352 families in Marshfield were able to have a happier Christmas. Your spirit of sharing and compassion allowed 726 children a visit from Santa that they might not have received otherwise.

This year's Community Christmas was a great success, which meant that more families received food, clothing and gifts during the holiday season.

This was particularly important as the number of Marshfield residents suffering financial difficulty is growing at an alarming rate. Your generous gifts allowed us to ease these burdens and help these families enjoy their holiday season.

On behalf of all the children and families in Marshfield who benefited from your generosity we thank you all. Every donation we received is a statement of compassion and a reflection of the wonderful community spirit that lives in the businesses and residents of Marshfield.

Once again, our deepest thanks for your participation in the Marshfield Community Christmas program. We send you warmest wishes for a joyous New Year.
